Bunkers del Carmel

Up first on our list we have the popular tourist destination, “Bunkers del Carmel” which was originally built to defend Barcelona during the Spanish Civil War. You will need to ascend a lengthy staircase to reach the Bunkers, but once you’re there, you will have a 360-degree view overlooking all of Barcelona. It’s absolutely incredible, if you only have time to visit one location on this list, this is it.

Montgat

If you head north-east of Barcelona, you will find Montgat. It is a small coastal town that has fish markets and many surfers. I would consider it a hidden gem as most tourists stay in the heart of Barcelona, where as Montgat is more on the outskirts. It is about a 20 minute train ride but well worth it.

Parc de Montjuïc

Montjuïc is a mountain located on the side of Barcelona. It is home to the National Palace, seen in the photo above. This location makes for some great photos due to the unique architecture and monuments. Out front of the National Palace, you will see The Magic Fountain.
